The Golden Temple or Harmandir Sahib is a Gurdwara situated in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. The meaning of Harmandir Sahib is "abode of God" or Darbar Sahib, meaning “elevated court", It is the sacred Gurdwara and the most significant pilgrimage site of Sikhism.
